What Is Teldesel Used For

Teldesel is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. It is a film-coated tablet containing tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, thereby helping achieve and maintain an erection. Sexual stimulation is required for Teldesel to be effective[1].

The recommended dosage for Teldesel is 5 mg once daily, taken at the same time each day, or 20 mg as needed prior to anticipated sexual activity. Teldesel, like other tadalafil medications, should not be taken more than once per day[1]. Tadalafil—the active ingredient—may also be used under other brand names to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, enlarged prostate) and pulmonary arterial hypertension, but Teldesel is specifically indicated for erectile dysfunction[2].
