How the guides in this section differ
Browser or operating system. Chrome is a browser; Windows and Linux are operating systems; Chromebooks run ChromeOS, which is a third thing again. Guides say which category a term belongs to before anything else.
Standard browser or proxy browser. A proxy browser routes traffic through an intermediate server, often to reduce data use or reach a blocked site. That is a meaningfully different proposition from an ordinary browser, with its own trade-offs around trust and speed.
Consumer or technical. Some terms here — PowerShell, SELinux — belong to system administration rather than everyday use. The guides say so, so you know whether the answer is relevant to you.
